2017: Humber Bank Instruments was founded by co-founders Liam Blades & Ashley Greenbeck
in Grimsby with HBI specialising in electrical, instrumentation and control systems for industrial applications.
 
2018: Achieved Concom membership and engaged services in multiple
Humber Bank clients north and south.
 
2019: Established a nationwide presence with works ranging from Aberdeen to Isle of Wight.
 
2021: HBI moved into a Grimsby head office Torrington House, Torrington Street, Grimsby.
 
2024: Achieved ISO certification, demonstrating commitment to quality management and continuous improvement in services.
 
2020: Achieved for accreditations
 
2023 – Alcumus Safe Contractor
2020 – UVDB Achilles Silver Plus
2021 – ISN Networld
 
2022: Engaged in services of Stallard & Kane to assist with the development of HBI’s QMS system.
 
2023: Expanded the workforce and invested in advanced technologies to enhance capabilities in calibration, commissioning and maintenance services.
 
2024: Humber Bank Instruments Functional Safety & Engineering established
 
HBI also established an office located in Saltend Chemical Park.
 
2024: Introduced functional safety and engineering services, focusing on ensuring the safety and reliability of industrial systems.
 
2025: HBI underwent a company rebrand and relaunched as HBI Group.
 
2025: Acquired new office to be UK hub for HBI 64 King Edward Street, Grimsby.
